fishing for hi-redshift galaxies

it's going to be one of those days. on iTunes is Marvyn Gaye (courtesy R. Crain), and on the screen is a narrow-band image of the COSMOS field. the two go together quite well (have you seen the WFCAM instrument?). i'm searching for Ha-emitting objects, but my brain is starting to get fried. i was staring at the screen so much yesterday that when i closed my eyes i just saw endless WFCAM fields. proposal deadline today... ho hum.
