the telescope's just gone bust, and we have come down the mountain for the night, since it looks like the problem is not trivial to fix. it's been a good couple of night's observing so far, and we've got quite a lot of data to bring back...

Is WFCAM bust?
it's not very happy, no. all sorts of errors occuring. was working fine (ish) yesterday and the night before. i think someone tinkered with it today, and that is the problem. last night tomorrow.
