Ok - so how long would it take to *drive* to z=10 in a London bus, assuming you had to collect intergalactic passengers (model them as London bus users, say old people, drug addicts, terrorists etc) every 1 Mpc/h?
You can save time by using a typical London bus driver with no regard for fellow space-time users.
Would it be any quicker in a london taxi or would he go via z=-6 and several loops of the great attractor?
